Yesterday it was about 70 degrees here in the city. Which meant I just had to get out. The original plan was to take the kiddos to the zoo. Then I thought about it and realized that it was a sunny Sunday and EVERYONE would be at the zoo. So, the zoo was out. I decided to just take them to my parents house and let them run off some energy. They wanted to ride their little electric car, but the battery wasn’t charged. They had to take turns riding SA’s bike. I suppose it’s time to teach SM to ride a two-wheeler since she just had her 7th birthday on the 6th. She’s a bit uncoordinated, so I am worried…*lol* Anyway, they took turns and ran around with the dog some. My dad tried to line up THE BOY’s hair, but he wouldn’t sit still. He is pretty still when I cut his hair so I don’t know why he was giving us a hard time. He sat on my lap facing me as I shoved M&M’s in his mouth to keep him quiet and still. (Really it didn’t work.)
After that I didn’t really want to go home yet, so we stopped at my aunt’s house. That ended up being an hour trip because SM conned my aunt into making her some lunch (even though we were on our way to eat). Beans and hotdogs. *blah* SM’s most favorite food. THE BOY didn’t want that, so I figured he and I would eat later while the two girls had lunch at auntie’s. We visited with her baby a bit and then said our goodbye’s. The day was still nice, so I figured we’d throw some more gas in the truck and head on to do a little shopping. I ended up spending way too much money. Getting them new Chuck Taylor’s, some sandals and a few outfits each. Then the hubby decides we need a new Foreman Grill, so I head over to Target to purchase one. Those things aren’t cheap! And I can never come out of Target spending less than 200 smackers.
I forgot to mention that I have a new moblog. 😀 Located @ http://itsjustro.textamerica.com.
I took a couple pictures of the kids yesterday, which I’ll get uploaded over here as well…..
