This Little Piggie.

I feel as if I’m neglecting my blog. Perhaps I am. I’ve been pretty busy. Okay…I’m lying. I’ve been pretty lazy. I haven’t been on the computer much. Just to spend a little time at ODB, order a new cell phone and service from T-Mobile and file my taxes. I’ve been doing some room arranging and some cleaning. Not too much cleaning…but some. *lol*

Last week we got a guinea pig that we’ve named Jack. The pet store had named it Peanut, and I truly hated that name so we changed it. He’s 2 months old and honestly, we’re not even sure he’s a HE. The guy said he couldn’t tell this early. I’m going to take a good look at his underside this week and see for myself. I really wanted to get a piggy from a rescue, but the closest one is an hour from here. So, we settled. He’s quite adorable and happy. He’s been popcorning all over his cage. I’ve got pictures, but I haven’t uploaded them yet. I’m sure I’ll get to it this week.

I’m Behind.

I’m a little behind in blogging. Today I’m doing some rearranging of my house so I suppose I’ll have to do a catch up tomorrow. My SD got stuck at her mom’s because of snow, so we may have a “snow day” tomorrow. If so, I’ll have a little down time. I want to talk about THE BOY, who is dancing on my last nerve and our new guinea pig, Jack.

Later.

Worms and Wind

We went on a field trip Tuesday. It was to the same nature center we visited last time. This trip was really for SD and SM. Shae went a long just to look out the window at the birds and fuzzy critters. (I have no idea what all those animals were/are). Basically Shae and I sat and waited while the other two had lessons on worm behavior and took a short hiking trip. I visited my first outhouse and will never have the ability to pee in one. Shae either. She said, “I just can’t pee in a hole. I’m going to fall in and disappear FOREVER.” I told her she was being silly, but I had the same fears. Oh well.

On the way to the nature center I let the windows down (it was about 50-something degrees), but realized I had let them down too much. Went to raise them a little and found out they wouldn’t!! We had to drive on the freeway with the left front window down about 3 inches and the right front window down about 4 inches. It wasn’t cold, but my HAIR! It was so lovely before our trip! On the way back the temperature had dropped a bit and it was chilly. I had to turn the heat up full blast. GRRRR. *lol* But see, I called my dad who’s a mechanic auto technician supervisor and he told me to bring the car over after out trip. Ray took it by and it seems I may have some type of short in the connection of something or other. I dunno. But he got the windows up but says it may happen again. I soooo need a new ride.

Here are some photos of Shae playing at the Nature Center:

Don’t Corrupt the Kids.

OK…I’ll make this quick. We had our sleepover Saturday. Two of the girls were 7 and 8. (close to 8 & 9)…they complained I wouldn’t let them watch the chappelle show, white chicks, barbershop and others. They said they had seen them and watched it with their parents. The 7 year old was like, “I LOVE DAVE CHAPPELLE. I’M RICH ________!” Of course she didn’t say it though. These same two girls were preoccupied with sex. Everything was about sex and boobies. We couldn’t play any games without them talking about it. We played Scene It Jr and one of the answers was Halle Berry. The 8 year old was like, MY BROTHERS LOVE HALLE BERRY, HER BOOBS ARE SO HUGE. HAVE YOU SEEN HOW HUGE HER BOOBS ARE??……and she was going on and on…I’m like, who cares?? You’re 8. Worry ‘bout some Barbie dolls or something. These kids have truly lost their innocence. They kept calling the other girls gay. It was odd to me. And sad. The 7 year old can’t even read, but knows all about the Chappelle show?? Sounds fucked up to me. SD was just like, well, I don’t watch those kinds of movies. And she doesn’t. Sure, my kids know about cursing and sex and drugs and violence…but they don’t watch it for entertainment. We have enough movies for kids, why do they need a movie that is for adults? I sometimes wonder why parents don’t monitor their kids more. Why feed them all that GARBAGE?

It’s Over

Party is over. I sort of survived. I’ll be back with more later. But I’ll leave you with this:

KIDS ARE BAD.
