I was supposed to go to the doctor and get my glucose screening today, but I decided to wait until Monday. It’s a walk in appointment, so I can go anytime. Although I do need to go before my next OB appointment. I’m sitting here with Shan watching Peter Pan for the millionth time. I must say…that Peter was a…strange one.
Shan’s A Beka books arrived and she will start on Monday. We’ll see how that goes. I went out to Holcombs today and got all the materials she will need for next week. I still haven’t gotten her a birthday gift. I can’t think of anything. Ray seems to think that birthday’s are supposed to be like Christmas…with loads of gifts and such, but I think one good gift, a new outfit, cake and ice cream is enough.
I told Ray I won’t be able to fit my maternity jeans much longer and he says to me “you’re not going to get any bigger.” What is he thinkin??? I have 3 months to go. Um, yes, I’m going to get bigger. The baby now only weighs about 2 pounds. We’ve got to get up to at least 6 or 7! And with his 2lbs I gained 18. Since my last appointment I have gained 5 pounds. I’m pretty happy about that. I would like to gain as much as I can since I’m tiny. I just can’t tell where it went. :/ I think I look the same weight…and you can’t even tell I’m pregnant from the back. lol. Then I turn around and it’s a whole ‘nother story. I will not be buying more maternity clothes. I will have to make due with the jogging pants that I have. In other words, I will be a bum. lol.
Echo, got a new site for her expected little one. Baby Denmark!
Pregnancy Note: By now the baby’s body is composed of 2-3% body fat.
So I’m an avoidant, schizoid?? lol! I always knew it!

Take the test!
Today was such a boring day I won’t even bore you with the details. You’d be sleep before I got through the first sentence.
Pregnancy Note: By this time, the baby’s brain wave patterns are similar to those of a full term baby at birth. Activity is beginning in the portions of the brain that process auditory and visual information.
Lawd have mercy! There is so much snow outside. I don’t think we had this much snow all winter. I am so glad I didn’t have to go anywhere today because I probably would have cancelled. I will be sooooo glad when it begins to get warm. The bad thing is, we went to my grandmother’s a couple weekends ago and her flowers were blooming. Beautiful flowers. Now they are likely all dead. The weather has been so strange.
Today is one of those days when I don’t feel so great. My ptyalism seems worse and I feel a little nauseated. Yesterday we went out and got things to make Easter eggs and Easter baskets. We’re supposed to do an Easter egg hunt, but if this snow keeps up it will have to be indoors.
I updated some sections. Added some photos, added an “about” section for the new baby & updated SM’s section.
Pregnancy Note: The baby’s brain continues it’s rapid growth.
Shae is my second born daughter. She was born May 8, 2000. 2 weeks before her actual due date. She came into the world quite tiny @ 5lbs 13oz. But a week later she was already up 2lbs. By the time she was a couple months old, she had moved up into the 95th percentile. She was so roly poly. She’s still a little chubby monkey now, but she is beginning to lose much of it. Shae is a definite momma’s girl. Her favorite place to be is wherever mommy is. I accredit this to the fact that I nursed her so long. Sometimes she’s a bit clingy, but as she gets older she is less attached. Little Shae is a little calm soul. Many people call her “mature.” They way she looks at you makes you think she knows much more than she’s letting on.
She is quite the rough and tough gal, but I think she has to be to survive the punishments of SM. They play well together, but they are siblings, so they have their disagreements. Shae doesn’t cry much. If she falls, she may be a bit embarrassed & lie there for a minute, but she gets back up and keeps right on going. Shae likes to test me a lot. Often getting into things she knows she shouldn’t, just to get a reaction from me.
I think that Shae will be my musician or dancer. She absolutely loves music (and for some reason she adores Gospel). Turn on some music and she will dance the night away. She is also into books. She’s able to sit for at least 30 minutes paging back in forth in one book. So, I’m not too sure about her future yet. Perhaps she will be a scholarly musician?
I found out on Christmas Eve that my little one loves dogs! My aunt has a little poodle and the poor dog was harassed by my daughter the entire night. She chased him all around the house. The dog really started getting pissed because Shae is quite rough, so I had to make her leave him alone. He began to growl and I know he’s not around small children too much. Maybe when she’s a little older we’ll get a dog since I love them too!
My mom took my kids yesterday and what did I do? SLEEP. How boring, but I must have needed it. I went to sleep at 8 PM. I woke up for about an hour later and then went back to sleep until 10 AM. I knew those kids ran me crazy.
They are now back and the screaming has started. lol. They’ve been running non-stop since that walked in the door. There goes my peace.
So my dad doesn’t like the logo. I have no more ideas. As I mentioned a few times on the ODB, I have a designer block due to pregnancy I think. I was lucky to come up with that. I guess I’ll just stare at the screen some more and see what comes up.
My phone works! Yippee Kayay! lol. They came out yesterday and had it fixed within 30 minutes. Everytime they do a little construction in the area we have phone problems. I hope they plan on giving us a credit, because I sure plan on asking.
